It is always a challenge to getting over him, your ex boyfriend no matter how well the break-up goes. The situation is even worse in case you had a bad break-up. A number of factors will come into play in determining the most appropriate way of getting out of your un-enviable position. For instance, your healing process will depend on whether you were the initiator of the break-up or not.
In case it was your ex who initiated the break-up, you may be very much opposed to the idea. The way you react can either leave your pride intact or shred it to pieces. Here are some of the important things you should take into consideration.
Avoid making a scene
It is best to avoid getting hysterical and making a scene. Neither should you go after your ex begging him to take you back. You should as well avoid texting or even stalking your ex.
Perhaps you are reading this after you had done all of these things. This, however, does not mean that you should give up on mending your broken relationship. You can still take corrective measures. Here are some of the measures that will help you get over him.
Make yourself scarce
For the time being, it is necessary that you cut off any kind of communication between you and your ex boyfriend. Do not try to arrange any of those 'accidental meetings'. Do not call him, and even if he is the one who calls, do not answer.
Give him a complete break, so that he can learn to live without you as he wanted. This is something that will help both of you. On your part, you won't keep thinking about him as you would if you constantly try to get in touch.
Take physical exercises
This is not the time to sit around and start gaining extra pounds in the wrong places. Take up physical exercises and get yourself in good shape. This will also work on both of you.
You will cut such a great shape that your ex will long to have you back - when he finally sees you. Exercises will help you to relax, as you won't have much time brooding over your situation and you will expend the energy that can easily turn destructive. In addition, the knowledge that your ex is licking his tongue to get you again will give you a sense of satisfaction.
Have fun
Get over him for a while. Perhaps you were too immersed in the responsibilities in your relationship that you didn't have any time for fun. Now is the time to catch up. You will not only feel better, but you will also attract other people - including your ex.
