If you have a TV chances are you're a lot more depressed about current world events than you've been a decade ago. Thing's seemed to be looking up and the world as we knew it changed. It didn't last long too long though seeing as how not that long ago did the soviet union collapse and we rejoiced at the fall of the Berlin wall. But now we have other threats and problems that aren't thousands of miles away, but are right next door. The current state of the economy, education and national tensions does not lay easy on our minds. As our thoughts race to find a solution to our problems we seem to be living by blind hope that one day things will turn around.
Despite all the negativity and fear that is being fed to us day by day through the media (great way to keep us hooked) there is some hope out there, a beacon of light that's shining in the distance. Well, granted it is very gloomy, dark and scary, we can still survive. After all, basically that's what everyone is trying to do. The biggest, and just about only reason for money, is survival. Now luxury is very, very important for us Americans. So when it comes to money, we look for ways to make not just some, or more, but ALL of it. It's funny, but it's true. We want it all. Or at least as much as we possibly can get out of a single source.
There are many, many secure job fields that pay very, very well that exist and will theoretically always exist as long as people still inhabit the earth. But most of those fields require a lot of education and sometimes a certain type of character to be able to withstand the rigorous training required to get that job. Both of which are major reasons why the jobs are in demand, because even though they're there, it's simply not for everyone (otherwise everyone would be doing them).
The idea is to look a step below the advertised high positions, but that are still in high demand and pay very well. These positions require a lot less education, but with plenty of room to advance if you decide to get a higher education and pursue the real big bucks.
As mentioned before, there are a lot of positions and job opportunities like that out there but the best ones are usually the ones that have always been there, and are right under your nose. CDL and EMT are some of the best opportunities you can find out there with little to no education required and yet offer very good and competitive pay.
A CDL practice test is available if you're interested, and even though an EMT requires some training, EMT training is not long, expensive or very difficult.
