Biceps Workout - How Can Women Achieve Sexy and Toned Arms

Some women are afraid to perform biceps exercise as they don’t want to look like men with bulky arms. Well, let me tell you that working out your biceps don’t mean you’ll look like a man. Barbell Curls

This exercise must be considered as the center of a woman’s biceps workout routine. It is easy to perform especially if you stick to the proper technique. To start off, stand straight and hold the barbell with an under-hand grip. Ensure that the barbell is lifted right above your pectoral muscles. Pause for awhile and lower the barbell slowly. Do not move your elbows and keep them locked at your side. Repeat the exercise for at least 6 to 10 times.

Dumbbell Curl

This is one of the easiest biceps workouts for women. Applying the alternate dumbbell curl, you will be able to focus on one particular arm at a time, making the exercise more efficient. Two dumbbells are needed in this exercise. To start with, hold a dumbbell in each hand and adjust your body position comfortably by keeping your knees bent a little bit. Lower your arms until they completely extend on your outer thighs. Curl your one arm in an upward position until it reaches your biceps. As you lower the first dumbbell, curl the other dumbbell in the same manner. Keep repeating this exercise with your elbows tucked at your sides.

Concentration Curl

This is another effective biceps workout that women may perform. Sit on a bench and grip a dumbbell with one arm. Lean a bit forward while locking your elbow at the inside of your thigh. Slowly curl the weight upward towards your chest. To ensure that your upper arm is moving, do not forget to keep your body steady while doing this exercise. Next, slightly twist your hand while your biceps contract and hold this stance for 4 seconds. Bring the weight back to its initial position until your arm is fully straightened. Perform 12-15 reps and 3 sets of this workout then switch to the other arm.

When doing biceps workout, you must keep tight and steady to achieve better results. When you have already acquired the hang of the weights, try switching to a heavier weight and faster pace to make the exercise more effective. Once you have performed these exercises properly, you surely will have the sexy arms that you can reveal any time.
