I have been researching Suffolk wedding venues for my forthcoming marriage and thought I would share some of my findings with those of you who are planning on holding your wedding in this beautiful county.

Suffolk is home to far too many wedding venues to cover here, so I will limit the content to the most ‘special’ venues I have discovered.

One of the best things about many wedding venues in Suffolk is that they often offer an all-encompassing wedding service, to include not only the venue but also the planning and catering too. Most have accommodation for both before and after the special day and you need not hunt separately for the accommodation. One such venue is Maison Talbooth in Dedham. This is a truly spectacular building in a lovely country location, and it has enough space for the largest of celebrations. The venue also has a civil wedding licence for a maximum of fifty guests. Catering can be provided in-house from Talbooth Catering, which an experience of almost sixty years in the field of wedding and party catering.

Another awe-inspiring venue is Hintlesham Hall. It’s a Grade 1 listed, Elizabethan manor house that has been converted into a hotel and wedding venue. Various wedding planning services are available to cover every aspect of your wedding day, and there is also a preferential B&B rate for wedding guests!

If you plan on having a country wedding, Woodhall Manor is close to Woodbridge and is an impressively converted country house that dates back to 1566. Woodhall do not offer fixed wedding packages but rather their expert co-ordinators work to create bespoke arrangements for every individual couple. If you need overnight accommodation for yourselves or your guests, up to 30 people can stay in the 12 en-suite bedrooms including those located in Woodhall’s charming cottage.

Tuddenham Mill is unique in the fact that is a converted watermill! This charismatic venue is surrounded by 12 acres of countryside and offer luxurious accommodation.

One wedding venue in Suffolk is so impressive that tourists go there for a day out is The West Wing at Ickworth! This is also a Grade 1 listed building located in medieval Bury St Edmunds. Finally, St Peter’s Hall is a remarkable wedding venue. The Hall dates back to 1280 and is surrounded by a moat! This venue would make for a truly magical day, as would all of the wedding venues in Suffolk listed above.
