The Disney Vacation Club is wonderful for families that desire to take a vacation every year. With a dynamic collection of available places, this thing is just what the doctor ordered!

I'm not getting tricked into DVC!

Now I must admit, I was not always a Disney Vacation Club promoter. Truth be told, I was the guy commenting under my breath when it seemed like there was a "DVC" display on every corner. I can remember telling my wife I would in no way join DVC due to the fact they're pushing so much. In fairness, though, nobody at any time approached me. These folks were merely there in case I wanted some information. You don't get very far at the booth anyway, instead you book a sit down with a DVC representative. This is where it gets impressive. For those who agree to go meet with somebody they will organize to have your whole family picked up (if you so choose). Additionally, the six people in my family

were all awarded $15 Disney dollars which can be used like hard cash. Yes, they actually gave me $90 in cash to just go meet with someone. We honestly used two of the cards for beer in Downtown Disney. I know, I know, we're terrible. Tell me about it.

The Sit Down

All of us get there by shuttle which picked us up right in front of Bay Lake Tower, which is where we were residing that exact week. As soon as we ventured into the building we were cordially greeted with any refreshments of our choosing, in addition to a breathtaking showing of cookies. I guess it doesn't take a lot to astonish me - lol. Well, in the office we go. This is where I was expecting the high-pressure sales pitch. After all, they paid me, picked me up, and fed me. Obviously I'm about to pay for that with a 3

hour aggressive sales pitch! Nope. Not at all. It was the polar opposite. No pressure in any way. We more or less had a normal chat. Our adviser was more engaged in generating a back and forth

discussion where he could identify what we were seeking. What we were looking for was a annual vacation in a spectacular destination. We were searching for a site that is alluring to kids, as well as adults. We were seeking for reasonable costs. It just so happened that our wishes were just what the Disney Vacation Club had to extend.

The Price

Well, it aint inexpensive. Regardless, if you like to travel every single year then it works. The entire method is based on points. Each and

every point has a value. To vacation while in peak periods it will cost you extra points. Points are placed into your "bank" at the very same time year after year. The price per point raises yearly (so join now!). You will have to work out is the amount of "points" you are going to require annually. A family of 4 is in a much better position than a family group of 6. A family group of 4 can book a studio that sleeps 4 comfortably. A household of 6 will require a minimum of a 1 bedroom. Of course the larger the room, the more points you are going to need. You may to "bank" points. What this means is skip a year, increase the points in your bank. You can also "borrow" points. If you ever want to take a massive 600 point Hawaii escape, and you merely acquire 300 points a year, you are able to borrow 300 points from next year and make it transpire. It's a nice system. You can surf to Disney's website to obtain the latest point chart.

Now that we're members

No regrets! We would certainly do it all over for a second time. We deed with Bay Lake Tower. What this means is we have the capability to schedule our vacation at this resort 11 months beforehand. This assures we are able to "come home" every time we desire to. Similarly, if we wish to schedule anywhere else, say the Disney Boardwalk, we'd not be able to book there until 7 months out. This makes certain that families who deed at the Disney Boardwalk can "go home" if they intend to. It's a fantastic system.

What you HAVE TO know

  • Above all, the cost per point raises year after year. The earlier you become a member, the less costly the deal is going to cost. The point totals to vacation at each resort don't change. However, the price per point may vary.

  • Deed at a vacation resort you savor. If you deed there, you'll be able to schedule 11 months out. This all but ensures you a room anytime you desire.

  • For those who can help it, do not travel during peak times. I cherish Disney World above anyone, but when the lines are extended and the parks are super packed, it's only going to lower your adventure.

  • There are once-a-year maintenance fees that are associated with the club. These are considered costs that are to be paid in addition with ones own monthly payments. You are able to incorporate these costs to your monthly payment, or you are able to pay for them in a single lump sum each year.
