Celebrity scandals have been on the increase in the globalised era fired by the advance of the online world. A number of us follow their existence and families relationships like it's a spectator sport. And as Paris Hilton demonstrates they don't necessarily have to be well known for a particular ability. The celebrity culture appears to be explanation for fame not the result in alot of cases. Possibly we follow celebrities as a route to escape from our own lives - a longing to envisage what it must be like to be rich and celebrated and have a seemingly happy go lucky life away from the tries of work and bills. But it is a dangerous escape for modern society, especially for youngsters whose persuasions about the world and living are being twisted by idolizing in such people. Athletics, music, films and etc are all escapisms. But in those cases we are bearing witness to naturals endowment and artists presenting their product, something that can act as an aspiration for all of our own lives.
Celebrity scandals are no different to a soap opera and the ones who are notable without an clear ability are the largest benefactors of this deplorable phenomenon. Do we truly want young women to aim to mimic Paris Hilton? The media needs to also assume culpability. They have knuckled under to celebrity bagatelle, denouncing it as newsworthiness with the justification that it is what everyone want to see. So celebrity news sits side by side with more important subjects. In many more examples the mainstream news media have used their various internets sites to maximise their celebrity frivolity over grave news as a way of courting people to their web site. As a consequence it can be contended the media is guiding many persons astray moving away from what should be its aim of presenting discerning news and analytic thinking of pressing subjects for this celebrity frivolity.
In publications, material about Paris Hilton's shopping fling in Australia sat alongside the fighting in the Gaza Strip. No wonder many more people don't understand the engagement in the Middle East and other grim subjects confronting us as a world wide community, these individuals can merely tune out and escape with the recent celebrity chit chat.
The advance of the celebrity scandals is a deplorable reflection on the media and modern society taken as a whole. Possibly if more people concentrated on their own lives and living out their own ambitions we wouldnt need celebrity escapism and without our fascination hopefully the likes of Paris Hilton would go away completely from our view.
