Chelsea and Kensington have recently been made famous with the channel 4 reality show that follows the wealthy residents in their daily lives and dramas. Made in Chelsea follows wealthy residents and their daily lives and dramas.
Made in Chelsea has shown the area of Chelsea and Kensington to be wealthy and attractive. But what else does the area have to offer?
Being the playground of the rich and famous, you’ve probably already guessed that there is plenty to see and do in Kensington and Chelsea and you don’t have to be a millionaire to go to all the events that are on offer.
The Royal Albert Hall is in Kensington and there are always events going on there for everyone from all walks of life and tastes to enjoy. Coming up in the next few months there are performances such as ‘The Phantom of the Opera’, the ‘Best of Broadway’, the International Ballroom Championships and even the ‘Matrix Live’ show, a full orchestra interpretation of the film. You can get tickets to any of these events and get dressed up to the nines - you’ll feel just like one of the stars of the Made in Chelsea TV show.
If this all seems a bit upmarket for you or you fancy something a little different, then perhaps the ‘Doctor Who Experience’ is for you. The ‘Doctor Who Experience’ is an adventure based on the hit show; you come face to face with some of the monsters from the long running show and even get invited to be the Doctor’s newest companion. The walk-through experience lets you see the exhibition in full and make you feel part of the science fiction show ending up in the TARDIS. This show is at the London Olympia and is sure to be a popular event so you may need to get booked into your Kensington hotel quick and get the tickets sorted to avoid disappointment.
If you are a fan of the classics then you may want to see the Philharmonics or Classic FM live performing later this year. There are also performances from artists such as George Michael, Tori Amos and Engelbert Humperdink.
With so much to see and do in Kensington and Chelsea you can see how the ‘Made in Chelsea’ lot never fail to get bored.
