It’s one of the most dangerous things to have the soap slip from your hand when taking a shower? You then have to stop, bend down and hope while you are getting up you don’t loose it again or slip and fall! This problem was brought to my attention when that happened to me recently resulting in a splintered shin bone. While recuperating I read in Google that falls in the bathroom occur an estimated 250,000 times to adults, 43,000 times to children every year and there is at least one death every day for that same reason.

This knowledge prompted me to create a convenient way to hold a bar of soap without it slipping from my hand or diminishing its washing power. After experimenting with a variety of configurations I succeeded in producing the ideal design for what I named the "Soap Safety Sack".

Next was finding the perfect material which would produce and maintain the right amount of lather for a superior body wash while preventing accidents and saving lives. I again went to Google and found a very unique material called "French Terry" which curiously is made from a type of bamboo grown in China with the exact porosity and exfoliation characteristics I wanted.

After producing a sufficient number of "sacks" I gave them to a variety of friends which included as many heavy, pregnant, disabled, and older people as I could find for testing. I also gave one to my father who has a very bad hand tremor due to an affliction called "Essential Tremor". All our testers confirmed the Soap Safety Sack worked exactly as we told them it would while being very convenient and a pleasure to use.

Google once again assisted in finding a manufacturing company who could use my chosen material, cut the parts, sew them together and package it to my specifications at a very competitive price. These again were thoroughly tested with for superior workmanship, attention to detail, superior cleansing and its required safety characteristics.

After applying for and receiving a "Patent Pending" approval from the US Government Patent and Copyright Office we introduced the Soap Safety Sack to the public. We know you will find this very modestly priced item at $3.95 per pair will not only to "Prevent Accidents and Save Lives" but also help the physically challenged (heavy people, pregnant women, senior citizens, the blind, invalids, arthritics, disabled persons and those with hand tremors, etc.) who find it difficult to wash, locate a fallen soap and/or retrieve it.

Since introducing the Soap Safety Sack many users have written us to complement it but tell us about the many other benefits they have discovered. It keeps both hands free, can be used with any lotion, bar or liquid soap, easily hangs on faucet or hook, helps caregivers who assist persons with various physical limitations, cuts down insurance claims and rates for hotels, cruise ships, health clubs, spa, gym and country clubs. The Soap Safety Sack can be taken to any facility where you would use a shower as it comes packaged in a reusable clear poly bag.

The Soap Safety Sack was created not only to prevent accidents and save lives but also to help as many senior citizens, heavy people, pregnant women, care givers, disabled persons, amputees, arthritics, invalids and those afflicted with Parkinson’s Disease, Essential Tremor, Shaking Hands, Rheumatoid Arthritis, Multiple Sclerosis, Palsy and Tremors. This prompted our decision to donate $1.50 for each Soap Safety Sack sold to any Charity that sells one as a result of their effort.

It is sincerely rewarding to think my invention will be responsible for saving lives, preventing accidents and making life easier for what will be thousand of people worldwide.

I am 68 years old retired American living on island in Caribbean. I came out of retirement after slipping on a bar of soap in shower and badly injuring my shin bone. While recovering I invented the Soap Safety Sack to prevent similar injuries to others
