After breaking up, the rules of no contact are extremely important for many reasons. Whether you want to just get over the break up and the emotional pain or hope to someday get back together with your ex someday, the rules of no contact after breaking up can help you enormously.
Determine if you can use the no contact rule!
There are a few reasons in which you cannot use the no contact rule, and you have to have some kind of contact with your ex. These reasons are when you have kids together, work together, live together, or go to school together. In these above cases you’ll have to use limited contact.
Do NOT use limited contact if you can use no contact. You may think that the limited contact rule will be a better option since you’ll be keeping in contact with your ex, but it’s not. Using limited contact with an ex is a disadvantage when trying to get an ex back.
Accept The Break Up!
You have to accept that you’re now broken up with your ex and your old relationship is over. You’ll need to get over the break up and the emotional pain and heart break in order to move on.
Accepting the break up leads you on the path to healing, and that’s exactly what you want to do if you want a better chance of getting an ex back.
Get Rid of Neediness and Desperation!
Too many ignore this rule of no contact and believe that they need their ex back. Look, you don’t need them back. You want them back.
Being needy and desperate will make your ex not ever want you back. Why? That’s how you were shortly after the break up. Crying, begging, and pleading for them to change their mind. Did it work? No, and that’s why you’re reading this article. Get rid of neediness and desperation while you’re in no contact.
Get Active and Get A Life!
There’s a lot of mistakes I see when it comes to getting an ex back, but if you’re mentality is that your life revolves around your ex, you’re in trouble. I want to make one thing clear, and that’s your life nor happiness isn’t determined by your ex. It’s determined by you.
You’ll need to stay busy in order to help you keep your ex off your mind all the time. Don’t just sit around the house and mope. Get out there and live. Dive back into an old hobby, or start up a new one. Make a goal that doesn’t have to do with your ex.
Those above are just a few of the beginning rules of no contact. However, they are extremely important, but they aren't the only ones.
