No matter how devoted to God you are, and how much you pray, to truly feel the power of God you must have faith. Without faith, you cannot give the unconditional love and belief that God requires.
There may be times in your life when you have questioned how much faith you have. It may be when you are watching the news and feeling powerless against the might of mother nature and human failings.
You may lose faith when you see someone you love affected by tragedy and inflicted by pain.
You could quite easily lose faith in human nature if you contemplate the things that human beings are capable of doing to each other.
Incidents that make us question our faith merely are a reflection of our powerlessness in this world. No matter how smart we are, no matter how rich, beautiful or successful we are still subject to the same variables in our life that everyone else is, the unexpected the unwanted and the tragedies that touch our lives.
There may be times when your ability to feel in control of your destiny will affect how you cope with all the problems that life throws our way. You may end up doubting your ability to cope with difficulties and be overwhelmed causing you to lose your faith in God.
Sometimes it's hard to have faith when you feel that life is dragging you down and things are spiralling out of control but this is the time that you need to keep your faith in God more than ever. When you believe in God you have faith in the future and a strength to cope with the present knowing that he is in your life.
A belief in God gives people struck by tragedy the strength to carry on and improve their future with the lessons that they have learnt and the strength they have gained. Having faith in God is what gives us strength to cope in this life and believe in a life beyond.
