All of us experience the adverse effects of pollution. Dealing with all kinds of toxic chemicals and pollution is a really big problem to our body. There are many simple ways to help our body in fighting these toxins. One of the best solutions is the detoxification bath. The use of water for therapy is quite popular and has been used for centuries, due to its effectiveness. People who want to detoxify and clean their body should take a bath in water mixed with various healing ingredients that would greatly help to release toxins, improve circulation, enhance well being, and increase energy. Its advantage is that you can take a bath anytime and it can be done in your own bathtub and does not require expensive or special equipment. Hot water draws out toxins from our body up to the surface of the body. When the water cools, the toxins are pulled from the outer layers of our skin. Sea water (or water with sea salts), hot springs and herbal baths are all known for their therapeutic effects and have been used for centuries.
Cleansing and detoxing are important for our health. People all over the world hurry off to clinics just to have their bodies cleansed, and often turning to expensive and dangerous "detox" diets that promise to rid their bodies of toxins. Body Cleansing has been utilized by many cultures for centuries as a form of spiritual or soul and body purification. For instance, ancient Egyptians used rituals and ceremonies to purify their bodies. Traditionally, this kind of cleansing involves fasting, adhering to restrictive diets, using herbs, and even using enemas. Cleaning the blood is basically what detoxification stands for. Detoxification does this mainly by just simply removing impurities from our blood in the liver, where toxins are being processed for elimination. Kidneys, intestines, lungs, lymph nodes and skin also do their part in eliminating toxins in our body. But when this system of ours is compromised, our body is not as efficient and there are some impurities that are not filtered properly.
There are some easier, more pleasant ways to help your body to detoxify. After this detoxification program, you can cleanse your body with a simple daily diet, supplements, and healthy lifestyle practices. The first way is you should eat plenty of fiber-rich foods like brown rice, organically grown fruits, and plenty of vegetables. Broccoli, spirulina, chlorella, and seaweed are some effective detoxifying foods.
The second step is to cleanse and protect the liver by taking herbs. For example, dandelion root, milk thistle, and burdock are good herbs to take. Green tea is a wonder addition to your diet and contains natural herbs that are helpful in this cleansing process.
You should also take vitamins, such as vitamin C, which help the body to produce glutathione, a liver compound which removes toxins. Drinking at least 2 quarts of water a day is very helpful. Breathing deeply is important and allows oxygen to circulate more completely through our bodies.
Last but not least, bathing in nutrient-rich, detoxifying sea salts is a wonderful way to cleanse your body, spirit, and mind. The minerals in natural sea salts have powerful detoxifying properties and will do wonders for you body - less painful than an enema, more enjoyable than a diet of grapefruit juice - and your body will thank you for it.
