Paramore is a pop rock band from Franklin, TN, which is near Nashville, TN. Band members include: lead vocalist Hayley Williams, lead guitarist Josh Farro, bassist Jeremy Davis, and drummer Zac Farro. Taylor York plays rhythm guitar during performances. Although Paramore is a band, Hayley Williams is the best known member. She stands out with her cute looks and showy orange hair.

The history of the band starts when, at the age of 13, Hayley Williams moved from her hometown of Meridian, Mississippi to Tennessee. While attending school in Franklin Tennessee, she met brothers, Josh and Zac Farro. They three soon hit it off, and became good friends. Before the trio formed Paramore, Hayley Williams and Jeremy Davis played in a funk cover band called the Factory. There finally formed Paramore, which officially came together in 2004.

Hayley Williams and Josh Farro work together as the group's main songwriters. The band's name Paramore came from a friend of the band’s mother’s maiden name. They learned that the meaning of an identical-sounding "paramour" was secret lover, and they made the choice to take up the band name Paramore. The members claim the bands Jimmy Eat World and Sunny Day Real Estate as two of their primary influences.

In April of 2005, Paramore was signed by the label Fueled By Ramen, which handles several other big name bands similar to Paramore. They released their debut album All We Know Is Falling in 2005. Since 2005, they have produced two more great albums, which are an EP entitled The Summer Tic and Riot!, which were released in 2006 and 2007 respectively. Their debut album All We Know Is Falling includes the singles "Pressure" and "Emergency". It wasn't until their second album, Riot!, that the band found mainstream success. Their second album Riot! was certified gold in the U.S. During the summer of 2007, Paramore took part in their third warp tour. During this time the popularity of the band began to increase significantly. The first single from the album, "Misery Business", received wide radio airplay and allowed for MTV to feature the band in Artist of the Week segments during August of 2007. Paramore was also nominated for the Best New Artist Grammy at the 2008 Grammy Awards.
