I could be describing that luscious blonde as she sashays across the room or that tanned muscular hunk as he enters the room, but I’m not. I’m describing the brilliant ambiance of the Wall Sconce.

It creates a welcoming atmosphere with its illumination, color and design. It can provide soft romantic lighting or bright enough lighting to read by. It fits in wherever space is needed and provides that decorative touch that we all desire.

It will even make your room larger than it is. It also can highlight other pieces of art work that you have on your walls, or that main attraction such as your fire place. This will also direct the eyes to the spot you want yourself and others to notice.

You can easily mount the sconces to your wall with little or no installation needed. For the electrical sconces there is some installation needed, but with these you can easily save on energy with a dimmer switch. You can also have Candle Wall Sconces in any size, color or scent that you wish.

In early American society the candle wall sconce was the only form of lighting. Now it is used for every room of the house as well as outside the house. One of my friends actually has a water system that the candles float in and lights up their patio.

My niece has a couple of toddlers and purchased several of these because they are high enough up on the walls to be child proof. She has told me time and again how much safer she feels using the sconces instead of lamps with all the electrical cords.

There are so many styles to choose from such as Victorian, Colonial, Contemporary and Western. There are also many materials to choose from like copper, metal, wrought iron, glass, ceramic and others.

It used to be that hallways and corridors were the only place you would find these in, but not any more. If you want to create a Wow factor with direct or indirect lighting, you can’t loose with the Wall Sconce.
