Being an inch shorter or taller can make a whole lot of difference in your life. A man of five feet and another one of six feet belong to two different worlds. Researchers have proved that shorter men miss out on many tall things in life. The age-old apprehension or image of "tall-dark and handsome" has stuck with the world. A new research based on approximately 3,300 healthy men ranging between the age of 25 and 60 has confirmed the suspicions that tall men are more preferred by women and short men in relationships are more stubborn . It is so serious that the study proved that women who go for artificial insemination express preference for tall men's sperms. This shows that short men have tall troubles in the romance field.

As if that is not enough, a new study conducted extensively in England revealed that short men in relationships have more troubles. The 7,000 people studied in a period of over seventeen years revealed that the vertically challenged men are more likely to be obese, poor, chain smokers and prone to dangerous diseases like heart attack. Coronary heart ailments double in short men. This can be attributed to their being less healthy, less active and the fact that they smoke more and drink irresponsibly compared to their taller friends. The British researchers found a strong link between height and social deprivation. During early childhood short structure reflects poor health and nutritional intake. This might result into the short children being mocked by their peers.

Just when you thought their problems are over here comes another one. A new study based on 135,000 cases in London shows that shorter children are more likely to be less intelligent and therefore perform badly in school. Researchers proved that children who were 3.5 inches shorter than their age mates registered 13 percent decrease on IQ and general verbal reasoning. Many are the times these children require extra school help. It is a tough world for short men who struggle to prove the society wrong. These men can still step beyond the society opinion and funny stares and do wonders. They can always work out an inner great agenda to catch up with there taller counterparts and even get the women of their dreams. It is not always that short men in relationships cause mayhem.
