If you are reading this, you are looking to get your ex back. You have tried everything and are at a point where you are starting to feel depressed and hopeless. I understand, and I am here to help you. Getting back with an ex is doable; the problem is, most of us don't know how and make a lot of mistakes.

It doesn't have to be this way for you. Here are a few tips to help you understand what to do and what not to do.

THE "NOT TO DO" LIST

Chasing or Stalking Your Ex

This should be obvious, but more and more people do this. It gets you nowhere and, in fact, has the opposite effect. This will not only annoy your ex, but he or she will begin to despise you and fear you. Not only have you lost him or her, but he or she will go away with a bad opinion of you. On top of that, people that you are closest to will lose respect for you as well. You don't want that, do you?

Feeling depressed

Sometimes this cannot be avoided. Go talk to someone if you are starting to feel this way. Depression will affect not only you, but the people around you. You will also affect your job, and social life. Please, if you are feeling sorry for yourself because things aren't happening quickly, seek some help before you waste valuable days in your life.

Stop Sitting at Home

Depression, as stated above, can really have a negative effect on you. Get out of the house. Start to socialize more and mingle. Sitting at home and staring at the walls will be a waste of time.

Well now that I have punished you, let's at what we can do to help you move forward:

THE "TO DO" LIST

Increase Your Self Value

Right now your ex does not hold you in high regard; otherwise he or she would still be around. Right? Well increase your value. Let him or her see that you are worth getting back with. Let him or her see you with friends or possibly out with other men or women so that your ex might see a new value in you.

Keep in Touch

It might be uncomfortable at first, but stay in touch. As I mentioned above, don't stalk them, but maybe once a week call them. IF they pick up just let them know that you are calling to say hi. Don't start asking about getting back or anything like that. Just show them you are thinking of them and you are interested in their well being. You will gain a lot of respect with this. Eventually he or she will start calling you!

Upgrade Yourself

When you were in the relationship, as with all relationships, you probably got comfortable and self improvement or maintenance was not a top priority. If you put on some weight, concentrate on working out more and feeling better about yourself. Go out and buy yourself some new clothes. Bottom line, start feeling better about yourself, and you will start feeling better about life.

Following the do's and don'ts above will help put you in a great position to get that ex back. And who knows, maybe after a while you will forget about him and her and will meet a new person. Confidence attracts people. Fix yourself first and everything else will fall into place.
