Bridesmaid gowns can be harder to find than the actual wedding dress

The most under-looked factor in a wedding is the bridesmaids. Of course, the focus is supposed to be mostly on the bride and groom. Some brides may even give her maid of honor a little bit of shine. It has been known for years now that the bridesmaids get dresses that are not the same caliber as the bride’s dress. Many already know what time it is when they are asked to be a bridesmaid, time to get fitted for a dress they will never want to see again.
If you are planning your wedding day, you can switch things up by giving your back-up ladies a little bit of shine. First thing you will need to do is figure out how you can cater to all of the bridesmaids’ needs at once. If most of your bridesmaids are close to the same size (whether voluptuous or thin), a sheath style gown will definitely do. If some of the bridesmaids are plus-size, they may not feel so comfortable in such a dress.
To cater to the plus-size and the thin bridesmaids at the same time, you can go with a ball gown. Although, this gives the effect of the small looking smaller and the big looking bigger, it is a great way to give a nice effect at the bridal party. These dresses are also ideal for women who are busty.
A great universal dress is the one with the empire waist. The gown slightly flows outward from the bottom of the bust line. These can also be worn by pregnant bridesmaids (even in the third trimester). Another is the A-line dress. This has a princess flare and compliments many sizes and figures. The flare begins at the waist, so it is okay to wear by first and second trimester mommies to be.
You can also have each of the gowns tailor-made to fit the style of each bridesmaid. Choose a designer you like along with a fabric and color. From there, the bridesmaids and maid of honor will be measured and the orders will be put in. You can put your maid of honor in charge of making sure things go well while you cater to other aspects of your wedding.
Becoming very popular are the tea-length gowns. These come to the knees or calves. If you are looking to have a casual wedding or semi-formal wedding, these dresses can go nicely with the tone. The gowns are both attractive and comfortable. Outdoor summer and spring weddings may also use these style dresses; perfect for beach, mountain and garden weddings.
When deciding how to dress your bridesmaids, it is important that you try your best to cater to the different bodies and styles they have.
