Now that you have finally found the right person, let me help you make that once-in-a-lifetime dream wedding a reality. A wedding reception is a party held after the completion of a marriage ceremony. A post-marriage party is traditional in most societies, but with variety on the details. Depending on the activities that were planned, a wedding reception can last anywhere from half an hour or less to several hours.
When planning your wedding, some of the first decisions you will make will be when you want to get married, where you want to have your ceremony, and where the reception will be held. When selecting a venue, there are many factors that should be taken into consideration. The venue of your choice should match the theme of your wedding, size of your guest list, time of reception, type of cuisine, location of church or wedding ceremony site and most importantly, your budget. Most receptions feature a meal. The meal is usually either a plated dinner or buffet dinner.
If you have no idea what to do for your big day, you may be looking for ceremony and wedding reception ideas. When it comes to where to have your ceremony, you may already have a few venues in mind. Most people like to marry in a church, but that doesn’t mean you have to. You can get married anywhere, and people are coming up with new ideas all the time. For wedding reception ideas, you have even more choices to consider. Though the ceremony may be religious in nature, your reception will be more of a dinner or party. This is why wedding reception ideas are far more interesting and varied. In fact, the ideas are only as limited as your imagination. You know what you like, or would like, better than anyone else.
However, you can go for the traditional and rent a hall. These are always good because they usually come with a kitchen, and sometimes, they come with a staff. You won’t have too much to worry about when you go this route. Other wedding reception ideas may require more planning on your part, but that doesn’t mean you won’t be able to get what you want. You can always hire a catering company if your wedding reception ideas take you out of the traditional hall and out into the unknown.
Or if you have enough budget, you can check out a venue/hotel that offers almost everything that you need for your reception, like wedding cake, flowers, entertainment, doves, drinks, decors, etc. Some hotels even extend complimentary accommodation for the bride and the groom. These will not just give you additional savings, but will also lessen the hassle of having to contact different suppliers. Also, choose a venue that offers price difference for the children and adults. Make sure that your reception hall can comfortably accommodate your guests. An ocular inspection of the venue before making your booking is a must.
Unfortunately, some wedding reception ideas that I have seen lately have been outdoors, and some have been in people’s back yards. These tend to be more relaxed, and the food choices are simpler. I have also seen people rent out rooms at restaurants when they do not have a large number of guests, and I have also seen people skip the reception all together and enjoy a night out on the town with friends. No matter what you want, you can find wedding reception ideas to suit your own style, and when choosing, remember that you can do whatever you want. It’s your big day, and you don’t have to answer to anyone. When planning your next wedding reception, don't focus on the lavishness of the event, focus on creating a memorable day that will live on in your family's memories for years to come.
