If you check out the Subliminal Messages history on the web or wikipedia, you will find that it was once banned by U.S. Government from been used on Television or Radio, that was somewhere around 1974. It was banned because the investigative reports claims that Subliminal Messages "gave individuals and companies too much of an edge".
The Subliminal Messages are used by manufacturers to manipulate the consumers into making purchasing decision. Other than that use, Subliminal Messages can also be used to change or improve a person's life. It has the capability to reprogram a person's subconscious mind and create long lasting changes in one's life.
Subliminal is known as "below the threshold of consciousness". Everyone has another part of the brain, known as Subconscious Mind, it controls mostly everything that has to do with your body. The Subliminal Messages actually can send messages directly to your Subconscious Mind. The most well-known controversial experiment was done by researcher Dr James Vicary. He flashed the messages "I want Popcorn" and "Drink more Coke" for 100-miliseconds in front of movie audience. Nobody "saw" the messages, however, Popcorn sales went up 57.8 percent.
Since then, the technique of using Subliminal Messages in advertising was banned. Later then, it was realized it can be used as one of Self-Help tool. When the Subliminal Messages are being flashed on a high speed, the conscious part of the mind will not get the messages, but the Subconscious Mind will start to act on the messages.
I have learned a method, taught by Bradley Thompson (Self-Improvement Guru) on using Subliminal Messages without purchasing any costly products. You can start working on this method even tonight! Just keep reading this article. If you thought to buy something to try out Subliminal Message, you can get Subliminal Softwares or CDs available on the Internet. Otherwise, you might only want to try the alternative method, which I'm about to explain.
Let's begin. Start by finding some basic attitudes or goals you want to achieve. Here, my example is "I am confident". Now, the messages also known to be called "Affirmations" and so, it must be short, simple, present and no negative words such as "not".
The next step is to get a black marker pen and write the affirmations clearly on some sheet of white cards. Since your are just starting and it's always better to focus on one or two goals at a time, it's good enough for you to have two or three cards. Then, keep those cards next to your bed and leave a flashlight there too.
The next thing we need to do is to wake up your mind in the middle of the night, since it's the time when your Subconscious Mind are open compared to normal waking state. Set the alarm to 3AM (you should have slept around midnight at least). When you heard the alarm ring at 3AM, wake up and turn it off, then, not thinking many thoughts, take the affirmation cards and the flashlight. The room should be dark (make sure of that before you go to sleep at early step). Flick the flashlights on and off a few times (around 12) very quickly for each of the card. When you are doing that, stare at the cards, just do not try to read the words, it's not for your Conscious Mind, it's for your Subconscious Mind. Once you are done, turn off the flashlight, put back the cards and go back to sleep. You will obviously be back to deep rest.
That's all you have to do. Keep doing it for few days, during your sleepy state. Ordinary people will start to realize change in them around two weeks. It will not create complete change, it will take time to go step to step or maybe, stage to stage.
Thanks to Bradley Thompson for teaching the methods.
