In our quest for perfect health, we must never overlook the importance of natural vitamins and mineral supplements. Though all of the healthy vitamins & minerals we could ever need are available in the foods we have at our disposal, few of us have the time, patience, or nutrition education to seek out, acquire, prepare, and consume all of these foods.

Moreover, the junk most of us are eating on a daily basis is cause for serious concern. The western diet is based on dead foods, fatty foods, sugary foods, and simply put, non-foods. We're fast food fiends, junk food junkies, consumers of convenience, and as a result, we're diseased and deceased.

Yes, natural, healthy vitamins & minerals are just what the doctor didn't order, but should have. It's another quirk of the western world. We treat, we don't prevent. Why? It's simple. There's more money in treatment. That's how our medical heroes get paid: Writing drug prescriptions that treat symptoms, while often perpetuating the actual problem.

It's better living through chemistry. "If I can't feel the pain, there must be nothing wrong." That's the mentality that leads to fatality. (Some people just have a way with words, what can I say?)

Health is not determined by a lack of symptoms... or even a lack of disease, for that matter. Rather, health is determined by how well all of the systems of your body, including you mind and emotions, are functioning. Are you light, vibrant, and energetic? Do you feel like you can take on the world? How's your memory? Do you feel like dancing about for no particular reason? Are you giddy? Is your movement unrestricted, lubricated, and flexible? Are you pain free?

The answers to these questions determine your health. Whole-food vitamins and minerals, along with ample hydration and a moderately responsible dietary approach will have you answering them in an enthusiastic, affirmative manner. This is a certainty.

Ample hydration? 4 to 6 liters of purified water daily. No big deal.

Moderately responsible dietary approach? No fast food. No soda. No excess alcohol. Sub fresh fruit and yogurt for sugary desserts. Again, no big deal.

Make your local health food store your new best friend. That's where you will find the types of vitamins and minerals, along with various other kinds of whole-food supplements that will absolutely transform you. Ask for a whole food multivitamin with chelated minerals, probiotics, and digestive enzymes.

You will also benefit very richly by acquiring a powerful antioxidant supplement, the best of which will contain either green tea or the acai berry, or a combination of the two.

Okay, then. Now you know.

Happy supplementing and thank you for reading!
