FRESNO, Calif., July 2, 2008 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Continental Prison Systems, Inc. (Pink Sheets:CPSZ): a leader in Prison kiosk technology to streamline the inmate release process and a growing provider of the cost reducing process for loading funds onto an inmate's account over the internet or through a kiosk announced today that the EZ Kiosk and EZ Card divisions of Continental Prison Systems, Inc. have completed a successful product showing at the recent Texas Jail Association Conference.

Ron Hodge, President and CEO of Continental Prison Systems, Inc. recently attended the Texas Jail Association Show. Vendors that visited CPSZ's booth all showed strong interest in each of our Prison programs. They included commissary vendors, facility payphone providers, and vendors that provide Jail facilities with their Jail Management System (JMS) software. Numerous contacts were made and follow up visits to the facilities have begun.

Following the Conference, Ron Hodge, President and CEO of CPSZ visited with three Texas vendors: a commissary company, a payphone provider and a Texas facility. The payphone provider has over 140 facilities spread over Texas, Louisiana, Oklahoma and Tennessee and is interested in all of CPSZ's EZ division programs. Mr. Hodge has instructed EZ division's IT departments to immediately coordinate with the payphone provider's IT personnel to synchronize the integration of EZ programs directly into their systems. The Texas payphone provider informed CPSZ that an estimated four Jail facilities would immediately result in installation of services after completion of the contract.

Furthermore, a commissary company that has 15 facilities under contract is prepared to authorize EZ divisions to install both Kiosk and Debit card programs at two of their contracted facilities.

During the Texas swing, Mr. Hodge also spent a day in a 400 bed facility that has asked CPSZ's EZ divisions to install four kiosks in their facility for purposes of accepting the high volume ($400,000) of cash bail that is processed through their facility monthly.

Continental Prison Systems, Inc. President and CEO Ronald Hodge stated, "CPSZ's projected annual revenue from just two of the 15 Commissary facilities, four of the payphone company's 140 locations and the Texas 400 bed Jail, when installed, should exceed $800,000."
