One of the most difficult things to do is move from a house that you have put your blood, sweat and tears into but that was exactly what I had to do three months ago. With this low point of the economy, many people, myself included, are losing the jobs we need to pay for our mortgages. Being willing to do anything, if I could pay the bills and support my family, I was getting desperate.

I finally heard back from one of the places that I had sent my resume to; it was a marketing company in San Francisco. The job was good enough that I could not turn it down, even if it was not the best. After discussing the position with my wife, I contacted them and agreed to take the job.

I knew the hard part was yet to come, deciding that we were going to move due this job is the easy part. It is hard to say goodbye after being in one place for so long. Children do not do well when faced with having to leave their friends behind. Seeing the horrified looks on my kids faces really tore at my heartstrings.

If I was going to do this right I was going to have to have help. I did not know anything about what the differences between national moving companies was; Up until now, I did not have a need to know about them. I had never even considered moving before. I am glad they knew enough to help me to get started.

As we had very little time before I had to be at the new job, our friends came over and helped us pack. At this point I realized that I would have to make a trip back to get my car. Being a Sunday, we could not find anyone who was able to drive our car to the new house.

This was going to be a pretty big problem. I didn’t want to drive another 8 hours, to get back here and then to the new hours, but I needed the car for work on Monday. The traffic in this area of Cali is too much for that plan to be feasible. Then someone suggested looking into auto shipping.

California auto transport is a great place in order to find a vehicle shipping company. Our car made it to San Francisco the next day in the afternoon. It was actually pretty cheap considering I didn’t have to drive an extra 8 hours.

I was able to go in and relax a little before starting work, after my car had arrived and I thanked the guys for being so efficient. Considering the tight time frame, I think everything went without a hitch.I know the auto guys did much to help me feel that way.
