Is that possible or do they have a legal license to kill?
Recently being diagnosed with prostrate cancer, and going through all these tests. Consider what happens with myself and I'm not finished.
When first diagnosed the Doctor was thinking may be I'm going to be all upset and who knows what was the impression one gets. May be we should be trembling and scared full of tears and God only knows what.
Seems like one was supposed to be afraid of dying and it was going to be just around the corner today, tomorrow! Wow we thought from the way they seem to treat you as if your going to flop over and die right then and there.
Funny part of this is, it's not that we know we now have cancer, The problem lies in another place. The procedural of treatments.
Here's what happened to me. Being told we have to seek treatment within 3 to 6 months from diagnoses. That's fair, but how do they stretch your time for treatment out to 9 months and longer?
Easy, just let the Doctors do all the leg work of making plans for you. First we were to check into freezing, that didn't happen, because the Dr was away for a few weeks. They forgot to check and apply. Then you find out the next step was to make plans for Brackie, We agreed, waited several weeks for the appointment, Called in. Delayed because they forgot the papers on the desk!, Now another wait of 6 to 8 weeks. Hm!
You appear at the specialist office wanting to get the good news, when will all this happen.
Sorry your to marginal and we can't take the chance, We ask why didn't the original Dr not see this or ask the proper questions?
Now another wait to see this same Quack! 5 months have now gone by! Your next aim is to get radiation external. You wait another 6 to 8 weeks to see him.
He says you have to go back to this same original Quack. And have yourself cored out.
Another wait comes in for another 6 weeks, or was it 8? Hm!
You get a system scope of the you know what! Not pleasant!
He declares it's OK, but if you plug up during treatments, we'll have to stop your treatments and give you a catheter! Oh Oh! We are not looking forward to that one!
The next wait is back on the table. Another 6 weeks have gone by.
Decided to see my G.P. And he's flew the coupe for a holiday. Luckily there was another there.
Told her (lady this time) Told her "think the medical field doesn't like me, they're letting me die and I'm not getting any treatments."
She was kind enough to phone and found out they actually made me an appointment to start treatments in a few weeks! But by the time you read this we'll be having this long drawn out treatment.
We are excited after 8 months waiting. But that leaves us with something not so bad or not so worse,
Being a senior living on minimal income, which is just enough to get by on, They tell me we can go to Saskatoon for these treatments, total of 37 of them. Seems a little high, would you think so? The drive one way being 2 1/2 hours away, We wonder what will happen when the money is not there and there is no roof over the head with a bed to sleep in? Guess we'll have to do as the good natured fellows on the streets do find a place to crawl into and hide ones face!
Just think of it, we'll be able to tell you what it's like to be homeless for 2 months, living on the streets!
May be we'll be around to tell you all about it!
