The auburn hair, the freckles and the easy grins of the Fall Out Boys belie the outstanding success they have achieved. Hailing from the suburbs of Wilmette in Chicago, they are nominated to the 48 Grammy Awards. Their bassist and lyricist recounts of being inspired by stories of Curious George, Baber and Richard Scurry as a child. However, this fall our boy’s favorite story was the Ferdinand by Munro. This is the story of a giant bull who sits under a cork tree and smells flowers instead of doing what a bull is supposed to do: Get in the ring and fight. The point to the story being that one should follow their calling, regardless of what is expected out of them. This story was the inspiration behind the name of Fallout Boys debut album “From under the cork tree”.

The band got together in 2000 and comprises four members: Bassist Peter Wentz, drummer Andrew Hurley, guitarist Joseph Troham and vocalist cum guitarist Patrick Stump. The members belonged to some underground hardcore bands, before they decided to get together as Fallout Boys. The result is a melody drenched rock band. They came out in 2001, and 2002 with their album, “Evening Out with your Girl”. This allowed them to gain the exposure required to get a deal with Gainsville and received advance from island records to cut a proper debut album. They also financed the recording of their next album “Take this to your Grave” which came out in 2003, winning acclaim. The band was clearly gaining momentum amid the media accolades and positive reviews. The inspirational “Under the Cork Tree” is by far their best album in our opinion.

The Fallout Boys tickets are touring for concerts all over Europe, ranging from places like Boule Naire in Paris to the Underground in Koln. Other places include Amsterdam, Albany NY, Pepsi Arena. The Camden show in Philadelphia is unfortunately all sold out. Now the Fallout boys are booked for concerts all over Europe and their tickets are also available online. on the 2nd of January 2006 at the Boule Naire in Paris. The Las Vegas, Philadelphia and Chicago dates of the Black Clouds and the Underdog tour's tickets are also sold out. All this points to the raging popularity of The Fallout boys. After releasing their album "Take this to your grave" and receiving positive reviews from it The Fall Out boys band paused and experimented with the melody texture and sound as the fans clamored for more. This meticulous hard work paid off great dividends given that they took almost 2 years to release their next album “Under The Cork Tree". Wentz claims “we could have easily regurgitated our last album which people expected us to do. But when its all over we want to be remebered as a rock band that pushed its limit and was sincere and totally honest to its fans. when we are 90 years old and on our death beds.It will matter to us that at least we took our chances." All we can say is:Whoa!

We loved the lyrics of one song are "written on my wrist says do not open before Christmas" which describes the band well. Essentially a rock band with emotional and poignant lyrics. On the whole this band promises finger snapping and feet tapping gigs and holds promises of long time audience-performer rapport.
