If I Am Unemployed Why Do You Think I have Money To Throw Away

My inbox receives 100's of emails every day about some business opportunity or job and all I have to do is spend anywhere from $1 to several hundred. I spend every day searching sites like Careerbuilder, Monster, Homejobstop and many other sites looking for a full time job. When somebody is unemployed they need to all of a sudden to be very careful with their money because rent and bills do not care if we don't have a job. If we can't pay them then we either become homeless or have to live without electricity and/or food.

These emails all have one thing in common, they all have long minisite salesletters and they all make promises that are supposedly evidence that there opportunity or membership is real and that a lot of people are currently making money from them. Truth be told if I were to pay $200 for one of these to start making money that money would then pay the other person that they conned into this, their commission. The only way I would make any money is by conning others to part with their savings.

Some of these so called opportunities will invite you to some call in where they have all these so called members pitching how much money they have now made with this. The other callers are full of hype and BS but they are hoping when you hear how excited they are that you too will part with your money and become one of them.. How am I to explain to my wife and kids that the money we are living off of was just spent by me for nothing?

I have had many sleepless nights trying to decide whether I should be one of the others who are making money by conning others or whether to keep looking for a real job. Most people in this world have no problem taking advantage of those less fortunate than themselves. Why not just do what all the others are doing? They have some how gotten around the problem of guilt.

Why do these idiots think that since we just lost our jobs that we would invest the money we are living off of into some junk business opportunity or some membership site. The testimonials that are on their sites are just other people who would profit from our loss. I will never join any of these unless they are able to get an endorsement from the department of labor. Actors and former presidents will all sell their endorsements but I seriously doubt if the Department of Labor will ever do this.

To make matters worse in the offline world I have illegal immigrants offering to do all the jobs I apply for at half the wages and without benefits. I fill out applications at every business within 5 miles of where I live and very rarely do I ever hear back from any of them. I used to earn a good living brokering computer software but because of spending a lot of my time making sure that the products were authentic I got out of that business but if other things don't improve very soon I am thin king I may have to lay my ethics aside and get back into that line of work.
