Many challenges that people have to meet in life are similar no matter where you reside. For instance stress and low self confidence are two life problems that hypnosis can assist that anyone living in a small town to a large city may seek help in resolving.
Some issues, whilst not exclusive to a capital city such as a London do tend to be more prevalent to a large metropolis. Some life challenges are more common and connected to living and working in a major city such as London.
If you consider for a few moments the type of people and the various occupational roles that a large city offers it will provide clues as to the type of issues a Londoner is likely to have. Most large corporations have a head office based in London. London has a unique commuting network just like other large cities. So residents and workers in New York, Tokyo, Paris and London are likely to need some sort of therapeutic support for similar problems.
In order to progress in the corporate world a worker will need to be confident and have good communication skills and abilities. They probably need to lead or participate in meetings, take workshops and give presentations. Many people find the idea of speaking in front of others anxiety provoking. One of the most popular issues I help Londoners with is the fear of public speaking.
The city of London though has a unique and wider transport system than any other city in the UK that brings with its own unique problems.
Claustrophobia is a big problem. London commuters are expected to be okay when they squeeze into packed commuter trains and crushed in over-crowded underground trains. Many people develop a fear of enclosed spaces because of a bad experience on a tube train. Getting stuck in tunnel is bad enough. Put together a physical discomfort such as a stomach upset and you can soon see how someone can be anxious about not making it to a public convenience in time when a tube train is delayed, the doors are shut and there is no way to get off.
Left unresolved this anxiety or phobia of being trapped can also be triggered in lifts and when flying on airplanes. The fear and anxiety is as real as any danger is. The heart beats rapidly, a cold sweat appears and the person feels faint.
Fortunately phobias of all kinds are the sorts of issues that hypnotherapists excel at resolving. This is why hypnotherapy in London is as popular as for any capital city.
Hypnotherapy is also considered to be a brief therapy too. Usually lasting between 2 to 8 sessions to resolve most issues and for stopping smoking only one session is usually required.
So the world's large cities are likely to have residents and workers who suffer from similar mental anxieties, stresses and strains. Hypnotherapy as provided in London, and provided in other capital cities can help ease these living issues quickly and effectively.
Steven Harold an experienced hypnotherapist, is based in London and his practice is conveniently located close to Leytonstone tube station. He continues to help many Londoners at his East London practice.
