The Course for Italian Language Teachers - held in Florence and Rome - represents a good opportunity for approaching to the world of teaching, it is intended for whoever wants to become an Italian language teacher in Italy or abroad, and for teachers who wish to certify their skills and experience in Italian teaching through the DITALS certification given by the University for Foreigners of Siena.

During the course for Italian language teachers, participants will have the chance to get many useful suggestions and advices, they will discover the different teaching approaches and will find a practical help on how to orient themselves in the great world of manuals. Students will be provided with teaching material in class and they will learn advanced teaching techniques, besides attending the preparation course for the DITALS exam.

The course has a duration of 70 hours divided in two weeks, it takes place from Monday to Friday and it is divided into several units in order to meet all participants’ needs.

In addition, the schools Leonardo da Vinci in Florence and Rome offer to all the participants the chance to attend for free the hours of apprenticeship needed for the Ditals certification, under the guide of a tutor, during the six months after the course.

The apprenticeship is a very useful tool in order to start comparing personal skills with the reality of teaching in class, while having the chance to observe many teachers at work, each one with his/her own technique and sensitivity.

After a period of observation, the trainee will have the possibility to cooperate with the tutor and to autonomously manage some phases of the scheduled teaching units.

Next sessions of the Courses for Italian language teachers will be held:

in Florence, from 19th to 30th October;

in Rome, from 5th to 16th October.
