As a fitness trainer, I have come across so many people who will do anything to lose weight and to lose it fast. However, this can be dangerous and may cause all kinds of damage to the body.
Liquid diets or even stopping to eat completely are just two of the methods people try in an effort to shed those extra pounds, but really all these diets do is starve you of the good things your body needs.
When it boils down to it, its pure fat you need to lose. By getting rid of ten pounds of fat and gaining the same amount of muscle, you will look so much leaner. I know many personal fitness trainers, some in San Marcos CA, who make the mistake of weighing their clients but this does not give an accurate guide to what is happening. The best way to keep an eye on your progress is to use body fat testing.
Muscle is the body's friend and for this reason we want to keep it. When we have more muscle, we burn off more fat and look great, and lets face it, looking great is what it's all about.
Weight resistance training is the best way to build up muscle and get rid of fat. By lifting weights at least three times each week and making sure you hit all the muscle groups, your metabolic rate will be boosted in a big way.
More often than not people who look healthy and have athletic bodies get this way through lifting weights. So you can do it too! If you don't have much idea about the way to go about this properly, why not take up the services of a personal trainer. Of course, you will need to have a healthy and well balanced diet. Eating five or six small and nutritious portions spread out during the day is the best way to go making sure you avoid sugary and processed foods. Eat as many natural or raw products as you can as this will give you quicker results.
Cardio exercise is recommended, especially the intense stop and go kind known as interval training. Quite a few of my San Marcos Personal Training clients partake in interval training as there is no doubt about it, it’s the fastest kind of cardio as far as burning fat goes.
You could, for example, perform a set of intervals of sprinting, say for forty yards, then walking back straight away taking time to get your breath back. Repeat this exercise for between twenty and thirty minutes, three times each week and you will see the fat fall from your body in front of your eyes.
