Lose Weight Not Fats and Carbs

Too much body fat is 95% of the time due to overeating, lack of exercise, and overall lack of willpower. Most people know that if they want to lose weight, they really need to reduce their caloric intake. Too many jump to the conclusion that this means all fat and carbs must go. You actually need fat and carbs to sustain a healthy diet. You just need to pick the right kinds.

Processed foods that hide the bad saturated fats and trans fats like crisps, biscuits, pastries, processed meats and snack foods are obvious examples of bad fats. There are, however, Essential Fatty Acids, that are are found in oily fish, nuts, olive oil, and flaxseed. This should make up about 15% of your diet. These fats actually help speed up your metabolism and promote optimum health.

There are good carbs as well. You need to avoid the carbs that contain simple sugars such as sucrose, glucose, and maltose. You’ll find these in sweets, biscuits, cakes and other processed foods. These are particularly dangerous because they often cause a raqpid increase in blood sugar levels which in turn can cause insulin spikes. Excess insulin encourages fat storage. The types of carbohydrates that you should include in your diet are complex carbohydrates such as whole meal pasta, brown rice, root vegetables, and oatmeal. These actually prevent insulin spikes and stabilize your blood sugar level.

Protein is always an important part of your diet if you want to lose weight. You need to be careful that you don’t ever reduce your caloric intake below approximately 1200 calories per day if you’re a woman, and 1800 calories per day if you’re man. This is because if you go below this limit, your body will think that it’s starving and will switch from burning fat to burning muscle. What you want is to turn fat into muscle, and you need protein to do that. Whey protein is one of the best sources of protein because the isolate variety is 90% protein and iis very easy to digest and metabolize. It is an all-natural gluten-free byproduct of dairy and is used by exercise enthusiasts and professional athletes to help them build lean muscle without increasing calories unnecessarily.

Of course, diet is one of the most important aspects of weight loss, but exercise is also very important. Weight training improves strength, fitness, posture, muscle tone, and overall looks. Along with adequate protein, you will be able to increase your lean body mass and reduce excess fat with a good steady exercise routine. Try to do at least 3 45 minute sessions per week and exercise all major muscle groups.

Other than exercise the best natural way to lose weight is with the use of lipotropic substances which are also known to prevent the abnormal accumulation of fat in the liver. Lipotropic fat burners are special in that they're able to emulsify, transport and convert stored fat into energy. This is a great way to drop an extra 5 to 8 pounds per month along with the weight loss that naturally comes with proper diet and exercise.
