Everyone who learned the Php language at some point in his life would definitely want cash his skills. Graduate Php developers who are looking to start a career in Php web development and programming have got two options: either get a full-time job or become a freelancer. While both ways can earn you good amount of money and a smooth career, it totally depends upon you to choose one. You may feel comfortable as a full time Php developer in a good enough web development firm where you are not required to debug or create graphics. However, sometimes you are required to create graphics and debug as well other than writing codes. On the other hand, if you really like to debug, create graphics and deal with clients then you may enjoy working as a freelance. Many freelance Php developers have gone on to build their own web development firms and are making more money than as an employee. Yet, we have seen many freelancers who ended up with a full time Php developer job. So it all depends on your need, suitability, character and caliber.
Following are the three most important questions that you need to answer before starting your career as a Php developer:
• The first thing that you need to know is what will be your responsibilities in that particular job? This is the most important question that you should ask during any interview. Companies that have a boxed product for retail do not offer much room for creating new applications. However, those who do create custom applications for clients will require you to write a lot code.
• The next big question is that will you write only Php code or other codes as well? You may want to work on only the server side but many companies look for programmers who can write Php, JS, SQL and HTML code as well. Therefore, it is always good to have a good grasp of other programming languages as well.
• The last but not least is what salary will you get? That is an obvious question of course but the important thing is that a programmer must be satisfies with his salary. A programmer who is not satisfied with his salary is a bad programmer. So just be realistic in demanding a reasonable salary especially if you are starting your career.
These are the most important questions that you should ask when starting a career in Php development but you are not prohibited from asking anything else. Just feel free to ask anything that you think is important for your career.
