Most people tend to get married late morning or early afternoon. Some people have evening weddings, which are also pretty nice. Something that a few people have considered, that is somewhat interesting, is getting married at midnight.

Midnight weddings can be nice if the circumstances come together in just the right way. For instance, having a midnight wedding means there probably won't be any children there. Your ceremony will probably be short and small, since many people, especially older people, won't want to come. If you live or happen to be in an area with great weather, getting married outside in the moonlight can add a touch of romance to the ceremony that you can't get inside during the day.

The cons are just as extensive. Many people aren't going to leave their homes for a wedding ceremony that late at night unless there's some kind of party involved. If they have to deal with kids or a babysitter, that may keep even more people away. Older relatives and friends probably won't come. And in many states, even if you wanted to have some kind of reception, they have to close at 2AM, so you wouldn't have a lot of time to do much partying.

Now, you could decide to do a few other things that might help the wedding go along. You could have the reception later in the day so that more people could come. Having a midnight ceremony would also mean you wouldn't have to go buy a fancy wedding dress, and you could probably get married in jeans and a t-shirt if that's your preference. You would still need witnesses, but you could treat it like you'd gone to Las Vegas and eloped. Or you could tie it in with another ceremony or celebration, such as New Years Eve and New Years Day, a literal version of "out with the old, in with the new".

You're probably not going to get a church wedding at midnight, so don't even try. Get a justice of the peace who won't mind performing late, and find a nice place where you can have your ceremony, even if you decide to throw a party at your own house. You'll easily know who your true friends are, and an intimate ceremony will cost you less money.

It's an option to think about, and something that will certainly be much different than the norm.
