There comes a time in our life when we need to check our self to see what needs correction and change. Our life should always be in a developmental stage. Being developed should be a continual process. In our stage of life we are developed from baby- youth- teen- into the adult and final stage of life. Never become complacent where you feel you don't need any improvement or enhancements in your life. Whether it is a spiritual, financial or physical enhancement, there is always room for greater change. Here's just a little insight on these areas of development:
-
Spiritual development - will allow you to tune your spiritual ear to the heart of God. After spending regular time in the Word of God, you will even become more sensitive to voice of God. That time you cause you to grow and become more developed in this stage of your life.
-
Financial development – to get to this stage of life you must first give back to God what rightfully belong to him. The tithe – 10%. Malachi 3:8 "Will a man rob God? Yet ye have robbed me. But ye say, Wherein have we robbed thee? In tithes and offerings". Preparing a budget, making purchases that you need will prevent you from doing without. There may be times of struggles in many of our lives; however, refuse to overspend, casual spend and become a recreational spender to satisfy your wants. This will prevent unneeded debt and financial burdens.
-
Physical development – seems we are always in this stage of life. From childhood through to adulthood our bodies need tender loving care. Once we reach adulthood, this stage become more dormant. That is when we have to spend more time and focus on what we eat, how we eat and when we eat. This stage of our life is very sensitive and may or may not adapt to our regular eating style we once had. As a matter of fact before we get to the adult stage of our life, we should be attentive and more cautious of what we eat, how we eat and when we eat so we will avoid certain health factors that could come upon us.
Never be afraid of change. Willing to change can cause you to go to another level in your life that you never dreamed of. I surround myself with men and women of God; people I know I can trust and learn from. I continually build friendships with men and women who are anchored in the Word of God and show maturity and I build from their relationship. I enjoy friendships that help me enhance my life. You can't continue to be with people who are constantly having problems. You can't grow or gain anything from listening to your friends complain all the time. After awhile, it may even weaken your thoughts and pattern of thinking. 1 Corinthians 15:33 Do not be deceived: "Evil company corrupts good habits." Sharing your information also with too many people subjects you in having your business slip right from under you. You never want to be involved in a circle of misinformation. You should be able to go to someone that will conceal your matter at any cost.
For a total spiritual makeover we have to be willing to just ask God to create in us a clean heart. Never settle with "this is just the way I am". When we say that – it simple means I am not willing to change, and I want nothing new and fresh in my life. Freshness brings revival. Reviving what may be lying dormant. Remember anything that is not fresh over a period of time begins to stink. Don't allow yourself to lose your freshness.
Will we mess up sometimes? Yes, we surely will, but we can't condemn our self. I suggest you pray, examine your own life, and come to know who you are so you can move in greater strength. Take inventory of yourself. Look closely to see what you can change. Then, ask God to help you. Learning to change is more difficult for some than others, but we can all learn what God wants us to do.
