I have been thinking about the fact that there are many people who are apprehensive about choosing bar stools and counter stools for their homes or businesses. It is understandable, given the fact that there are so many options in counter stools to consider. However, we all know what it is as far as style that we like; you know if you have a certain liking for country style for instance. There are many designs of bar stools to choose from and what about the fabric for the seat? Oh and how about the finish coatings for your bar stools or counter stools? Take it one step at a time, and work on one thing at a time, until you have just exactly what you want. Take a minute to really think about your likes and dislikes. I think you will find that you can pinpoint styles, colors, textures, and so forth that are pleasing to you.
Yes, I believe we can all have a bit of a designer in us. I know, you are probably thinking "well, she never met me!" Seriously though, you know what you like and what you do not like. I think we sometimes have a tendency to make it harder than it is. Think for a minute about the things you are automatically drawn to. Do you tend to choose the color red, when you are picking out clothing? Do you find yourself drifting into the section of the store devoted to all things bears? If so, it is not hard to tell what you like.
If you are like me, I have a tendency to try doing or thinking about too much too quickly. When I slow down and ponder a little, things seem to come together much smoother, and I am not so overwhelmed with the process. It would be my suggestion that you take a tour on the internet. Go in with your mind tuned to pick up on just what reaches out and grabs you! What was it about that particular set of bar stools that caught your attention? As you go, analyze these things, I think you will come away with a clearer view of what it is you like in counter stools.
As you are analyzing, write it down. You may discover that you are drawn to styles of stools that you might not have thought you would like. There are for instance contemporary styles that I like, and I generally am not drawn to contemporary style. I would like to encourage you to collect this information, and then armed with this knowledge; you will be better prepared to make a decision when choosing your new bar stools or counter stools.
One design idea to keep in mind, and for the most part I think it is true, that a black finish on stools is classic, and will go with pretty much any décor you have. In my opinion it is hard to go wrong with the color black, especially if you have highlights of black in other items or furnishings throughout your home or office. Bar and counter stools can be a perfect complement to your room, it just takes some time in thought and planning.
Bring out the designer in you by really considering your likes and dislikes, when you are shopping for your new bar stools. By incorporating these new insights into the decision process, you will simplify your shopping experience, and be much happier with your purchase. Discover the designer in you, and go for it! Happy Designing!
I enjoy having an opportunity to write and express my opinions and suggestions, which are solely that of the author.
