The color red is powerful and can stand alone. It does not need to be muted, disguised or hidden in the back amongst other colors. The reason it is so powerful is what it signifies. In the Chinese culture red means good luck, prosperity and happiness it is one of the main choices for weddings and holiday celebrations. In Russia red signifies beauty. Regardless of the country red has some very powerful meaning. For most people red ignites passion, love and heat. What a perfect color to use in a wedding reception!
There are a plethora of choices for red wedding favors. It is truly a color that can support the reception in warmth with the vivid color display. Start with place cardholders that are a small heart base and the stem in silver is a funky shaped heart. The wedding attendees with have something beautiful to display a photo on after the event. Take small Chinese style boxes and fill with candy or chocolate covered almonds. Dated back through history a sugar substance was given to attendees of wedding ceremonies to show wealth and royalty. On the wedding day, you are royalty amongst your family members. It is your day to shine. Use a piece of history and create sugary concoctions to bring a bit of old into the new.
