Ancient cultures of the world have spiritual beliefs and connections with the earth. The stories that each culture has to offer, often tell us of how we have come from the earth- "Our Mother". The Native American people of the Southwest believe that our "Mother Earth" is the source of all life. When we observe nature we are learning from the greatest teacher. She is to be honored, and to honor the inter connectedness of all is to show our "Mother" respect.
The Native Americans come from ancient spirituality. "Vowing to Walk the Red Road," is respecting the Creator or the "Great Spirit". It is said that the Native American is not capable of moving forward without the "Great Spirit". To be a Native American coexists with being spiritual. The gift of spirituality is the gift from the "Great One". The Native Americans know that spiritual values have been the guide for their ancestors for generations. Fulfillment of one's purpose or one's destiny is acting with dignity. It is believed when asking for guidance, the "Great Spirit" answers. When the sacred voice of "Great Spirit" speaks, it is listened to with great respect.
The Native Americans are guided because of this relationship with the "Mother and Great Spirit". Trust and respect accompany every step of their purposeful lives. Their practice is that of simplicity. If it be humbly listening to the "Great Spirit's" voice in the wind to allow guidance by ancient knowledge, or to take a daily inventory of strengths and weaknesses so they can be whom the "Creator" gifted them to be- The Native American are connected spiritually.
These Philosophies can be used as a guide for anyone who is seeking spiritual clarity. Simple tools that may be used to allow a reawakening of one's spirit, connecting us with our true purpose of why we are here. Spirit is the true "life" of one's being. Deep within one's being there is spirit. Awakening this spirit allows one to embrace their unique journey, a path to one's destiny. Each individual's spirit is their true essence of who they are and this spirit allows freedom and harmony. People have purpose in this life. When we allow ourselves to open the door to our soul, our spirit may come forth and guide us along our journey. We will be instinctively lead by a deep knowing and understanding. Our intuition is the spirit's voice and when it is listened to, it allows us to live our dream, to open our hearts, set aside our egos and allow magic to happen. The Native Americans believe spirit is that of the elders. They have allowed this ancient spirit to guide them through every step of their journey with peaceful and harmonious intuition. Intuition is calm, Intuition is nurturing, and when we listen to this voice we may find ourselves more connected to ourselves, to everything that surrounds us and to everybody we encounter in life. The belief of the Native American is we are one. Listening to our ancient voice is to respect our elders, to respect others, to respect ourselves, and to respect our destiny or our purpose.
Simply following the ancient traditions of the Native American can allow one to find spiritual clarity, and allow a reawakening of one's spirit. Commune with nature as a source of meditation. Listen to what our "Mother" has to share. Share openly with gratitude. The "Great Spirit" has gifted us to this life so that we may share our purpose. Trust the voice of spirit and allow this intuition to be a guide. Allow flow with care freeness and defenselessness. Ask for guidance from the "Great Spirit" to allow a discovery of one's purpose, one's unique talents to serve others. Harmony and freedom are available for all who choose to discovery their deeper self. We are one, and let us fly like that of the peaceful "Warrior Eagle".
