People waving round EMF meters and generally getting excited, usually over finding a mains electric cable, we have all seen this happen. Since the explosion of the hobby of "ghost hunting" following such popular TV shows as Most Haunted and Ghost Towns, a lot of people have formed their own groups with their friends etc and set about "Ghost Hunting", which has recently become the new name for Paranormal Investigation it would seem!

Now that may all be well and good, but how much actual evidence are these new groups gathering, my proposed answer is; none. Why ? because they aren’t actually collecting and collating any data. They could, they have all the right tools, and most them have the brains , but as is often the case in today’s cultures, people want an instant fix, as we have all become adrenaline junkies! We want to go out see a ghost take a video or a picture of a ghost and then show it to all our friends. If it were as easy as that then there would have been proof in the paranormal a long time ago.

So how does the modern day ghost hunter improve his or her "ghost hunting" techniques?

My answer is simple; technology. We all use computers every day, you are proof of that fact as you sit here reading this. Technology has come on leaps and bounds in the last century and yet most of us are still using instruments that are relatively ancient. People spend hundreds of pounds on Trifield meters, cellsenors, Gauss masters etc, only to wave them round in an area where they suspect there may be a ghost. OK you might get a high reading here or there, that is not recorded evidence in a controlled environment. No one would take that as conclusive evidence in the paranormal.

People take pictures of orbs, mists ectoplasm and the like, so what that is not proof !

EVP noises are heard to say things , so what that is not proof !

Cold spots appear in the room, so what that again is not proof !

Proof is recorded evidence. Imagine if at the same time that mist/orb/ectoplasm/ was videoed/photographed, you has a recorded high level of EMF, and a recorded significant drop in temperature occurred. now your talking!!

So how can you do this, how can you obtain proof in the existence of the paranormal, in my eyes the answer is staring you in the face, you are literally looking at it right this second, open your eyes! The answer is your computer!
